Pforzheim University’s MIS Programme is pleased to celebrate the successful culmination of Season Two (2023-24) of the Celonis Capstone Project in collaboration with SCIT – Symbiosis Centre For Information Technology, Pune, India on 22nd January 2024. This project is an excellent example of international cooperation in the field of Information Systems and Process Mining using the Celonis Execution Management System (EMS).
Process Mining is a modern methodology that involves extracting knowledge from event logs to understand and improve real processes. By analyzing event data, Process Mining enables organizations to visualize, assess, and enhance their operational processes, ultimately driving efficiency, transparency, and innovation. Celonis SE is a global leader in Process Mining technology. Their suite of solutions provides unparalleled insights into process execution, enabling companies to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance productivity.
The WoodCorp Case was an ideal opportunity to apply Celonis’ state-of-the-art process mining technology to real-world business scenarios. During the project, students gained valuable insights into the techno-managerial aspects of process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and driving tangible business outcomes through a hands-on experience. From data analysis to visualization, and from problem-solving to decision-making, every phase highlighted the power of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing complex business challenges.
The courses like to express their gratitude to Prof. Vijayakumar Bharathi, Prof. Suneel K Prasad and Dr. Anil Jadhav from SCIT as well as Ms. Angela-Sophia Gebert from Celonis SE in Germany for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this collaborative venture in the Capstone Project.
